[PHOTOS] Ibrahim Idris Confirmed As Inspector General Of Police

Mr. Ibrahim Idris has been confirmed as the Inspector General of Police (IGP) following the decision made yesterday in Abuja.

Mr. Idris was confirmed as the substantive IGP by the Council of State, on Wednesday, September 7, 2016, at the State House, in Abuja.

This is second Council Of State meeting under President Muhammadu Buhari, after the first meeting was held on October 21, 2015.

IGP Idris’ confirmation is coming barely four months after President Buhari elevated him from an Assistant Inspector General of Police, to the Acting IGP, following the retirement of his predecessor, IGP Solomon Arase from service.
